What does shower restoration fix?

A shower usually fails at the grout and the caulk long before the tile has anything wrong with it. Cracked grout lets water behind the wall, old caulk holds mildew no cleaner will shift, and the whole thing reads as worn out. Restoration takes out the failed grout and caulk, replaces it, and seals the result, so the shower is both watertight and back to looking new.

It is a fraction of the cost and the disruption of a bathroom renovation, and it solves the actual problem rather than covering it.

Why does it matter beyond looks?

Water getting past cracked grout or failed caulk is the usual cause of mold in bathrooms. Once water is behind the wall it wets the backing, the tiles weaken and they can eventually come loose. Black spots in the grout or around the caulk are often the first sign.

What is included?

Any grout or caulk that is not sealing properly is removed and replaced, the shower or tub gets a professional steam clean and internal pressure wash, and every grout line is color sealed so the walls look like the day they were installed. We recommend having a shower or tub inspected, and the caulk replaced, about every two years.

Can the grout in a shower be color sealed?

Yes. Failed grout and caulk are removed and replaced first, then the same premium color sealer we use on floors goes onto the shower grout, which blocks the water and soap penetration that discolored it in the first place.
